Here I am again, charging down this same old road that took me back to Jackson after graduating from Ole Miss. The then distance of four years has eked its way out across the decades and the span of the miles covered is far greater than the distance between New York and Mississippi. And once more I am blazing across this open space like no tomorrow, but the Cadillac that brought me back all those years ago is long gone. And so too, is a past that seemed so fixed and certain.
